“- We are not here to save anyone. We are here to love. To heal ourselves and to hold the light for others. And then the light will point the way.”
- Auriela McCarthy

Auriela McCarthy’s life story reads like a fascinating thriller, a page- turning saga complete with the Russian winters and the Soviet regime, her grandfather’s “hiding from the KGB in an obscure Moscow suburb, her father’s Machiavellian gifts for emotional torture, her mother’s 5 marriages” and a succession of crazy step-fathers, the family’s escape to America – “the first home she ever had” and her “picture- perfect” first marriage with a mother-in-law from hell…

In Her Own Words

"I often think that in the University of Life I have chosen the study of love as my major, deciding to learn everything and anything I could learn about it through my own experiences..."

Excerpt From The Introduction
"All of my life, above anything else, I wanted to make “love” work. And yet I was failing at it. My first marriage had ended in divorce. I was in love again, but the relationship had reached an impasse..."

There was huge success (the opening of a San Francisco art gallery with a premier U.S. exhibition from Pablo Picasso’s estate and becoming an internationally known expert on the art of Picasso,) and there was deep sorrow - conflict at home, heart-break, loss, unexpected health problems, emergency rooms, blood-transfusions, her father’s death in the Soviet Union and its government’s denial of her visa to go to his funeral…

And then - a hitting bottom experience leading to a spiritual awakening and to a profound change. Auriela closed the gallery, ended her marriage and completely changed her life.

Leaving her old life behind was like stepping into a void. A new life had to be created - “her 3d incarnation in the same body” – a quiet and private life dedicated to spirituality, and the healing of the soul.

Working as a private art dealer, Auriela spent the next 20 years in internal reflection and deep emersion into metaphysics.

For the last 15 years she has been helping people from all walks of life with their life and relationships issues.

People who have worked with Auriela, listened to her or attended her readings have experienced amazing energetic shifts. Something happens during these interactions which is beyond the spoken words. These invisible and imperceptible changes happen at the core level of being.

The memoir was written, but - ended up in a drawer because as Auriela says, she “had lost interest in it. It has become someone else’s story,” perhaps to be picked up again one day – or not.

A different book called to be written, a book by a spiritual teacher that she had become.

She stepped back into the public life with the release of The Power of the Possible, a book of hope and inspiration, and with her radio show by the same name…

Love and all its manifestations – from the darkest to the lightest ones remain her greatest passion. Understanding it, making it work and helping others in the healing of their hearts.

Auriela is frequent guest on radio shows across the country, bringing her message: Nothing Changes until We Change to hundreds of thousands of people around the world.

Auriela holds an M.A. in English and English literature and lives with her husband Mykaell in Northern California.
